Of ovoid form, painted with a courting scene to central reserve, with a lakeside scene to verso, all on a cobalt blue ground with gilt highlights, mounted on a bronze base. Signed Bourgois to one reserve.

There are two small chips around the lid, the overall assembly of components is slightly loose, the wiring is untested, the is some minor rubbing to the gilding overall, otherwise good condition.
