Steven is a mid-career figurative painter who infuses hs practice with a wry sense of humour. Over the years, his approach has evolved with early work exploring comic illustrations and paintings accompanied by text; a gradual stylistic evolution has seen him demonstrate a more complete and assured focus on colour and composition.

Ajzenberg has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2000. He held his first solo exhibition at Arts Project Australia in 2010 and has presented in numerous group exhibitions. Public collections include the National Gallery of Victoria. His work is also held in national and international private and corporate collections.
