This simple anime-inspired drawing by Alec Brimage catches the character mid-sentence as if discussing sword fighting skills with someone out of frame.

Alec Brimage is an emerging artist whose work is characterised by keen attention to detail. His graphic drawing style and combined with highly descriptive titles, results in work that is beautifully rendered and resolved. His comic style drawings are imbued with a contemporary feel and feature animals and scenes from across the world. His work is defined by distinctive lines filled with Prismacolor pencil.

Brimage returned to Arts Project Australia in 2018 after a six-year hiatus and has exhibited in group shows in Melbourne. His work is held in private collections throughout Australia.
