Swimming Bear by Foster pulls at the heart-strings as a tender portrayal of a submerged bear paddling away against a beautifully rendered seascape.

Katie Foster is an emerging artist working predominantly with watercolour and Prisma-colour pencil on paper. In her work, she explores arctic themes with architectural references, layering her mediums using loose brushstrokes to create delicate, small-scale works that exude depth and charm.

Forster has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2014. She has been included in group exhibitions at Arts Project Australia, with her work held in private collections
