In Lyon's Danny as The Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz, the twisted arms of the artist/scarecrow point up and down the yellow brick road, a delighted smile across Lyons' face as though he has genuinely been transported to Oz.
Danny Lyons is an emerging artist working predominantly in the mediums of photography, video and paint pen on paper. In his photographic works, his most recent series involves placing himself dressed as different celebrities in the centre of photoshopped scenes. In his works on paper Lyon's draws on his personal life and loves, depicting the subject matter in an endearing manner.
Lyons has been working in the at Arts Project Australia since 2017 and has exhibited in Arts Project Australia's annual group exhibitions.
