McDonald's simple drawing in paint pen on paper is characteristic of the artist's minimal approach.

Keith McDonald is an emerging artist working in felt-tipped markers, pencils and water-based mediums. A figurative artist he often starts from the centre of the page and constructs his figure in lines using a dark coloured marker. He then builds layers of colour in ink or gouache, allowing the colour to dominate the minimal line and pattern.

McDonald has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2014 and has exhibited in annual group shows.
