Josef Power works attentively in pencil, marker and paint, engaging directly with the surface with a confident use of colour and shape. His artworks are gradually built up with dense colours until he fills the entire surface of the page with harmonic patterns, which contain subtle figures and forms brought to life through personal narrative.

Power has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2008. He has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions including at Arts Centre Melbourne, Chapman & Bailey Gallery Melbourne Art Fair, Melbourne. His work is held in private collections in Australia.
