This abstract work by Michael Trasancos is unique in composition, the gestural brush stokes and generous application of paint award the piece a fluid quality.

Michael Trasancos preferred medium is acrylic paint and he frequently portrays a fascination with Australian culture, often drawing from souvenir calendars. Trasancos' subject matter often features Australian landscapes, native animals and Australian football. His playful, brightly coloured paintings are expressive in style and sometimes incorporate text.

Trasancos has been attending the Arts Project Australia studio since 2004. He has exhibited at Melbourne Art Fair and Linden New Art, Melbourne as well as Robin Gibson Gallery, Sydney. His work is held in corporate and private collections.
