Untitled is a beautiful example of Robin Warren's practice, the application of pastel generating a sense of vibration, the colour palette sophisticated and complex.

Robin Warren is an established artist centring his practice on oil pastel, paint pen and markers. His well established tonal aesthetic is similar to that of Rothko's with a familiar softness and layered technique in material application. Warren is process orientated, creating detailed layered abstract pieces that resemble cellular organisms natural and alien. His colour choices and the transparency of layers create natural and luminous qualities that emphasise the sense of a living organism.

Robin Warren has been practicing for over 20 years at Arts Project Australia however his career as an artists began a number of years before joining the studio program, having exhibited in Dublin at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in 1998. Since then he has been presented in group exhibitions across Australia and internationally. His work is in permanent and private collections both in Australia and overseas.
