revised condition report

examined by eye only (not under UV light) but it appears that much of the area around the figure's head may have been previously restored, albeit sympathetically - not obvious at normal viewing; small in-painted repairs elsewhere are visible at close inspection, and there are a couple of paint losses around the edges which have not been not restored; the canvas has been laid down to modern fibreboard; the frame is in good patinated condition.
