the painting appears to be in generally excellent original condition; there are a number of very fine vertical scratches in the paint but these appear to be original to the brushwork rather than later scrapes; there are a couple of small white marks toward the lower left corner which may be scrapes through to the underlying priming; the basic oak box frame shows light wear.
