A CHINESE LIMESTONE INSCRIBED TWO-PART EPITAPH
TANG DYNASTY, WU ZETIAN PERIOD (690-705)

The two parts carved as square plaques, one with chamfered edges, both with lengthy inscriptions describing the life of a government official's wife.

The chamfered plaque 32cm high, 30cm wide. The other plaque 31cm high, 31cm wide

The chamfered plaque with a repaired break to one corner. Both plaques with various chips and small losses and wear throughout.
