A CHINESE BRONZE INCENSE-TOOL VASE
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)

The pear-shaped vase raised on a tall splayed foot, simply decorated with five incised lines to the neck, covered in a beautiful original verdigris patina.

An Important Melbourne Collection.
16cm high, 9.5cm diameter

Small area of impact damage and associated loss to one side of the vase. The missing pieces are included in the sale of the vase, and so the vase could be restored utilising the original pieces. Small dent marks in a few other places around the vase.
