The davenport is is in reasonably good condition considering the age and complexity of decoration. There are many areas where pieces are missing and this is an attempt to list the condition but may not be exhaustive: top section has losses the the edge along the back, on large section and another smaller, there are scratches and ink stains to this seciton. The slope: losses to the mother of pearl and other inlay all over with some infill; the sides are in generally good condition; there is a section missing where the lock mechanism has been removed on the right hand stile of the drawers; Front panel in good condition with one small section of inlay missing on right hand side, Back panel in good conditon with small section missing on join. Hopefully photos will give a clearer idea.
