AN EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK BY GEORGE BAKER OF BIRMINGHAM
The painted dial with Roman numerals, the spandrels with painted representations of the four continents, surmounted by a moon phase dial; the hood with swan neck pediment supported by turned and carved uprights flanking the glazed door, the trunk with inset turned uprights, rosewood crossbanding throughout.

Case is in good condition, some cracking to the crossbanding due to age; some small sections of crossbanding missing on base of trunk, and infilled and painted; feet possibly reduced slightly; paint on dial slightly worn especially on subsidiary arabic dial and numerals, and small areas of loss have been inpainted; movement seems to be complete but has not been tested.
