Composed of a lavalier pendant and earrings, the pendant collet-set with an oval shaped and pear-shaped black opal cut en cabochon, between stylised openwork connectors highlighted with old European-cut diamonds, necklace length 382mm; the pendant earrings, en suite, each suspending an oval opal cut en cabochon weighing approximately 1.46 carats and similarly highlighted by diamonds, length 30mm, post and butterfly fittings, accompanied by a Fairfax & Roberts, Sydney fitted box.

Opals set in pendant with vivid play of colour, fine surface scratches, cannot detect any crazing, the reverse of pear drop with black mark
Opals in earrings more like jelly crystal opals with minor crazing and discrepancy in size of opal drops 10mm x 8.5mm and 8.0 x 8.2mm
diamonds bright and lively, approximately I-J colour, VS-SI clarity as gauged and graded in the mount
Very light, fine surface scratches to gold, some presence of minor dirt
brooch approximately 4 grams, earrings 3 grams
overall condition good
