A WHITE AND COLOURED MARBLE BUST 'PURITAS' BY PROFESSOR ARISTIDE PETRILLI (1868-1930)
Carved as a maiden wearing a coif with lilies in her hair, her incised bodice centred with a lily and inscribed 'Puritas', on square socle, incised to verso 'Gal' Prof A Petrilli Firenze'.
Height 35cm

Slight discolouration to marble head, lily on right hand side has lost petal; small section on chest has a pit or hollow, though this seems to be part of the marble, petal on flower to breast chipped.
