The painting: Losses to the canvas visible to the top and lower right hand corner. visible cracking overall, the painted surface is stable, with a few minor scratches overall. Three repairs visible to verso.

The frame: Cracks and fractures to the frame, retouching to the gilding, together with some losses to the molding
BADA stickers visible to verso on stretcher, along with illegible hand written title.

The stately 19th Century home featuring seven bedrooms, two dining rooms, a billiard room, a study, and two sitting rooms, was tastefully restored in the late 2000s by highly regarded Australian interior designer, the late Stuart Rattle.The restoration showcased his fine attention to detail and effortless ability to merge colours, styles, and patterns into one unified aesthetic; always subtly paying homage to classical motifs and early English design.
