CIRCA 1930

The whole veneered in macassar ebony, with ebonised features, the rectangular inset portoro marble plate top (in two pieces), above five small drawers with nickel plate handles, flanked by large doors enclosing shelves, raised on a plinth base
99cm high, 200 long, 48.5cm deep

Estimate $2,500 - $3,500

Sold for $2,600

Minor surface scratches and dents overall, together with a small loss to the veneer to front left corner, and water stains to the finish of plinth base, all consistent with age and use, very minor chips to marble plate, both pieces have been carefully repaired, gilded handles on the doors show varied amounts of oxidation, some noticable old bora damage to back right foot
