The edge of the top is bent out of alignment, particularly so on one side, where it is bent downwards. The gilt finish to the top is largely worn, exposing the copper base, particularly to the raised inner and outer edges of its raised and moulded border; the top is also tarnished and dirty. The iron frame of the base shows light superficial oxidisation, more to its inside faces and towards its feet.
