George Rowney & Co. were print publishers, printers and suppliers of artists' materials in London. Richard and Thomas Rowney began in business in London in 1783 selling perfumes and wig powder, becoming artists' colourmen at the end of the century, and later developing a lithographic printing business. The company held the premises at 51 Rathbone Place, London from 1820-1859.
