The design for West Melbourne 1979 continues Senberg's interest in architecture as the facade of ideas and the physical evidence of civilisation. The central core of the work has, at its base and to the right, the remaining fragments of a neo-classical doric columned building, perhaps one of the few remaining architectural monuments of the Victorian era in a world of high-rise development.
