In Untitled, the figure leans elegantly on a chair as if posing for a portrait. The piece demonstrates the effortless interplay between positive and negative space that the artist so often weaves into his work.

Bobby Kyriakopoulos' practice focuses primarily on painting and drawing, with a meticulous and deliberate application of watercolour and gouache. Depicting nostalgic feeling scenes of film stills, street corners or tender, quirky portraits, the highly gestural work seems to catch the subject matter in movement at an exact moment. Kyriakopoulos has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2011. He held his first solo exhibition in 2019 and has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Public collections include the National Gallery of Victoria. His work is also held in national and international private and corporate collections.
