This piece captures the kitchen at the Arts Project Australia studio in all its character-filled glory. The scene is dense and over-populated with objects and materials, and alive with colour and energy - much like the remainder of the studio, which is bustling out of sight in this scene.
Christian Farinacci is an emerging artist working in coloured pencil, copic markers, felt tip pen, gouache, greylead pencil and marker. Harnessing an intimate stream of consciousness, he combines text, pop culture, street scenes, and symbols with propaganda-esque themes to create intense and populated compositions. The dense imagery is reflective of the over stimulation provided by relentless images and text young people are faced with today. Farinacci has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2016 and has exhibited in Arts Project Australia's annual group exhibitions.
