In The Pigs down in the Grass, the abstracted animals sit tenderly against the segmented, linear backdrop. The dense application of media awards the work a kind of frenetic energy.

George Aristovoulou's style exemplifies figurative abstraction, where he carefully segments the picture plane, creating broad linear stripes that incorporating figurative elements. The colours seamlessly blend together, lending a dream-like quality to the imagery. Aristovoulou has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2011. He has exhibited in numerous national group exhibitions. His work is held in private collections throughout Australia.
