In generally good condition throughout consistent with age and use. There are a number of blisters, blemishes, minor losses, and previous restorations to the veneer and inlay – none particularly noticeable at normal viewing. There are shrinkage gaps between the backboards of the upper part, the boards also being a little warped. The blue paper lining the interior of the upper part and the drawers below is rippled, dirty, worn and split along the lines of the gaps in the backboards referred to above and similar gaps to the drawer bases.
