EDO PERIOD (1603-1868)
The first a dynamic Oban size tate-e actor scene featuring a sword confrontation amongst straw bales by Utagawa Kuniyasu (1794-1832) and published C.1820 by Matsumuraya Yahei; the second a later Oban tate-e actor diptych with the acclaimed Ichikawa and Ichimura playing roles, Ichimura with a dagger in his mouth by Kunisda II and published C.1855.
Each individual print approximately 35cm high, 23cm wide
