Stretcher appears original but canvas has been relined, two spots of paint loss (one above the Madonnas head, one on her right shoulder and a small scratch next to this), previous restoration to stabilise craquelure, overpainting on hand of child and elbow of the Madonna, pressure crack to upper arm of the Madonna.
