Lot 192

TWO SIMILAR CHINESE OFFICIAL'S HAT CHAIRS
Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), late 19th century, each with a shaped top rail, plain splat and outswept arms flanking the panel seat on legs joined by stretchers with shaped apron, one with black lacquer finish.
Height of tallest 125cm

Estimate $800 - $1,200

Unsold

Structurally these are in good condition with no damage or repairs; one chair has darker lacquer finish which is worn on the foot rest; the other chair has a different finish, it may be that the varnish has been removed, and there are inconsistent patches to the splat and seat.
