A CHINESE ELM PAINTING TABLE AND A YELLOW WOOD LOW TABLE
The painting table: Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 18th century, the plain rectangular top with giant-arm braces to the square tapering legs with scrolled toes; the low table on solid moulded supports with shaped aprons and stretchers.

The painting table is sound, with no breaks, the surface is quite dry with a very open grain, especially on the top, there is an old burn mark that has been sanded, the colour is quite faded; the low table is in good original condition exhibiting wear conisistent with age and use.
