In the manner of Mayhew and Ince, the fiddleback mahogany top with a central satinwood patera within a border of swags surrounded by scrolling foliate motifs, swags, stylised urns and anthemia, having a concealed end drawer on square tapering legs inlaid with bell-flower drops and terminating in brass castors.

Two sections of central patera discoloured and possibly replaced, scratches to various sections of top, including patera, loss of varnish, and possible repairs to inlay, difference in colour between flaps and central section; section of banding at top of one leg lifting and missing on underside; scratches and wear to legs and throughout, consistent with age and use.
