Lot 84
Tuscany, last quarter 16th century, the rising top above the panelled front and sides, on lion paw carved front legs.
Width 184.5cm, Depth 60cm, Height 59cm
Estimate $2,000 - $3,000
In excellent condition for an item of this great age. The huge walnut top panels have at some time been professionally conserved along the joins and natural grain lines. The carved front feet show appropriate signs of age. Iron fittings at locks appear to be original. Has a rustic, beautifully waxed patina to the surfaces.
