A SILVER GILT MOUNTED MEISSEN PORCELAIN TANKARD
Circa 1720, the silver gilt cover hallmarked for Augsburg, cylindrical painted in colours with three Chinese figures, a beast and sprays of flowers and foliage including peonies and chrysanthemums, red enamel crossed swords mark, the richly gadrooned cover centred with an Augustus king of Saxony florin.

Mark underneath base fluoresces in UV light, gilt rim inside tankard worn, silver mounts tarnished, otherwise in good condition with no visible signs of repair or damage
