Attributed to Gillows of Lancaster, the shaped toprail above a pierced vase-shaped splat with foliate detail, flanked by a pair of arms above the drop-in seat upholstered in crimson horse hair, on moulded square sectioned front legs, united by an H-stretcher.

Repair to top rail, repair to base of back splat, repaired crack to rear right leg, overall wear, scuffs, scratches and nicks consistent with age and use, some mould spots to underneath of frame, evidence of old worm damage to rear left leg, structurally sound with wide seat comfortable to sit in.
