A MOROCCAN RELIEF CARVED AND MOTHER OF PEARL INLAID SETTEE, PAIR OF CHAIRS AND TABLE
Each with an overall design of relief carved scrolls, the backs inset with turned lattice work and baluster decoration, the hexagonal table with a central motif of a star surrounded by Islamic text, the sides with alternating relief carved and lattice panels.
Height of settee 65cm

SETTEE: Overall dust in relief carved decoration, some losses to turned lattice decoration to back panels, scratch to seat, possible later screws on seat, losses to turned detail on one side.
TABLE: Overall dust in relief carved decoration,wear to edges, chip to one edge and one corner, losses to turned lattice detail, some mother of pearl inlay missing.
CHAIR: Overall dust in relief carved decoration,some joints slightly separated, loss to pieces of turned lattice, Provenance from a private collector, hard to date exactly but probably late 19th/early 20th century. Hard to tell what the wood is, looks like mahogany but from inside is pale and seems to be stained, so possibly poplar or pine.
