Centring an oval porcelain plaque depicting The Ascension of Jesus, within a decorative openwork surround detailed with vari-cut gemstones including ruby, amethyst and garnet, the reverse inscribed 1770 underneath the Metropolitanate of Karlovci coat of arms, encircled by Serbian text, translating to 'Metropolitan John I, Archbishop of Karlovci, the Serbian Slavs and the Volyn People', length 75mm, width 53mm.
