The sovereign holder is engraved to the front with initials, the reverse engraved "9.3.11", opening to reveal a sovereign dated 1878, supported by a fancy link 9ct gold chain, holder length 53mm, chain length 550mm, gross weight approximately 41 grams, Birmingham assay marks for 1903.

The sovereign case and sovereign displays scratches and minor dents commensurate with age and wear. Sovereign case in good working order.
The sovereign case is of good workmanship with signs of wear consistent with age and use, not noticeable when worn.
Overall condition is very good considering its period.
