"Created at Arlparra, Utopia, Northern Territory, during the Utopia Batik Revival Workshop 2007 conducted by Julia Murray, founding co-ordinator of Utopia Batik, 1978-1982.

This work, in pale mauves and pinks on a rust brown ground, has the characteristic 'free' quality of Utopia Batik. In its simplicity, plant forms are repeated, swaying across the silk. Ruby- along with her sisters Lucky, Audrey, Sarah and Lily Lion - was young when she began painting and became one of the original artists when the Utopia Women's Batik Group was established in the late 1970s. Her batiks are held in many private collections, as well as the Holmes a Court collection."
As stated on the Utopia Batik certificate of authenticity
