Lot 16
Centring a claw-set brilliant-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.70 carats, to shoulders pavé-set with similarly set diamonds and a pierced openwork surround, the small diamonds together weighing approximately 0.12 carats, mounted in platinum and 18ct gold, size K1/2, gross weight approximately 3.5 grams.
Accompanied by:
a Kalmar Antiques box;
a facsimile Kalmar Antiques Retail Replacement Value for Insurance Purposes, dated 18 April 2021
Estimate $1,700 - $2,200
In our opinion, the diamonds are bright and lively, the centre stone probably of E/F colour and SI clarity, the small diamonds probably of F/G colour, VS to SI clarity as gauged and graded within the limitations of the cutting style and the mounting. The mounting has wear to the metal in the form of minor scratches.
The ring is of very good workmanship with signs of wear consistent with age and use, not noticeable when worn.
Overall condition is very good.
