Of Etruscan revival design, centring a raised oval plaque pavé-set with cabochon turquoise within a decorative surround, terminating on a 6 tassel swing drop, to the reverse a glazed compartment, mounted in gold, length 63mm, width 36mm, gross weight approximately 19 grams.
All proceeds from the sale of this lot will be donated to The Fred Hollows Foundation.
Estimate $670 - $900
The mounting displays some scratches, scuffs, small dents and discolouration commensurate with age and wear. One turquoise deficient. Settings may require attention.
The brooch is of good workmanship with signs of wear consistent with age and use, not noticeable when worn.
Overall condition is very good/good considering its period.
