Lot 96

A CHINESE TEA DUST GLAZED VASE, QIANLONG MARK, QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The vase is in an archaistic form, it's covered with a tea-dust glaze, characterized by its rich, lustrous tone and smooth, fine surface. While predominantly greenish in hue, closer inspection reveals the interplay of yellow and green powder-like glazes. The subdued and elegant coloration conveys a sense of restraint and dignity, free from ostentation. It embodies a serene and understated sophistication, resonating with the simplicity and purity valued by literati and scholars.

It's with a fitted hongmu stand, and a Japanese wood box.
