Makers' mark of Samuel Herbert & Co., London 1757, the domed cover with flower finial, the inverted pear shaped body richly decorated with repoussé flower swags and spiral fluted rocaille with a central cartouche engraved with a crest, on an openwork flowerhead, leaf and rocaille cast foot with gadrooned edge.
