A LARGE ANTIQUE FRENCH GILT-FRAMED CUSHION-FRONT MIRROR
Second half 19th century

The bevelled rectangular main plate within receding marginal plates in a Classical-style moulded frame with projecting corners and acanthus and floral scrolls to the corners and centres of the marginal plates
164cm high, 146cm wide, 11cm deep

In good condition consistent with age and use, the gilding apparently original; with some oxidisation and light patina to its surfaces and occasional light bumps to corners and edges of the frame.

The plate may not be original but is of some age; its silvering remains generally in good condition, with some areas of light age-related degradation.

(The back of the mirror, not presently accessible, has not been inspected in preparing this report.)
