Christopher Langton's inflatable sculptures and paintings demand attention. Smooth as sin, sharp as glare and shiny as a supermodel's pout, they seduce and titillate…another inflated disc, throbbing with a different sort of passion. It's a larger than life close-up of a blow-up doll, lips parted, titled Give it to Me (I Can Take It). No explanation needed…"To me this is . . . the pornography of the art world; it's like cheap sex," the artist says…"It's all surface and, according to people, there's no depth, there's no meaning to it.
