Dial: white enamel, black Roman numerals with Arabic seconds, sunken subsidiary seconds, gold spade hands
Movement: jewelled Swiss lever, wolf's tooth gearing, crown wind, pin-set
Case: polished round, gold cuvette the obverse applied with a mask and entwined scroll decoration, suspended from an 18ct gold Renaissance revival elaborate chatelaine designed as a series of openwork coiled chimera and grotesque scrolls depicting a mermaid at the centre, signed Wiese, maker's mark for Jules Wiese and French assay mark for 18ct gold
