In the manner of John Belchier, the bevelled rectangular plate within a moulded frame with a shaped crest of opposed eagle's heads centred on a foliage-capped cartouche, the frame carved and incised throughout with foliate designs on the punched ground and with a shell to the centre of the shaped tailpiece
