A LATE GEORGIAN FIGURED MAHOGANY MUSICAL MANTEL CLOCK

The eight-day chain fusee movement with anchor escapement hour striking on a bell, the white-japanned Roman numeral dial with silent / strike lever within a lyre-shaped case on a shaped platform base enclosing the Swiss 26.5cm single-cylinder eight-air musical movement activated by lever and rod mechanism, raised on scrolling patera and foliate supports, inlaid with musical and foliate designs in brass

Overall condition and appearance good
Minor areas of wear and losses to the case in places, most notably a loss to top edge of the back door
Hinge on glass dial door loose but still operational
Dial appears to have been repainted, two small areas of loss to the dial (between winding holes), likely from the clock hands
Very minor lifting to brass inlay under dial
Clock movement: Complete and ticking; not recently serviced or timed
Musical movement: appears to be playing, however not fully operational, will likely require a service
Please note we have not thoroughly tested its operation, and cannot comment on the condition of working parts.
The cylinder measures 26.5cm x 6cm
