Second half 19th century, probably French

In Louis XV style, of rectangular outline with a hinged cover enclosing a velvet lined interior, the top and all sides mounted with oval and circular cameo plaques, the larger plaques depicting scenes from the life of Christ, the smaller with angels at prayer
11cm high, 17cm wide, 12.5cm deep
