The enamel dial with Roman numerals, the silk suspension movement striking on a bell, in a flowerhead bezel and rectangular plinth surmounted by a celestial globe and flanked by a telescope and a maiden studying a book, the base with a neoclassical frieze, on leaf cast and milled bun feet.

Dial with cracks to enamel, ormolu in original conditin with surface dirt and some discolouration, celestial globe possibly not original, with key but no pendulum.
