In polished steel, with removable shades, pivoting up and down on a bracket mount, impressed to the right-hand side 'D.F. 10 X 80 / dkl X' ('dkl' being the code for the maker, Josef Schneider) followed by the serial number, with a later extending and folding polished aluminium tripod stand
26cm high (binoculars in a horizontal position, including the mount), 27cm wide, 36.5cm deep (including shades); the stand 110cm high (retracted and folded)
